REWIND

A Perpetual Motion Dance Immersive Experience Hosted by Factory Obscura

Perpetual Motion Dance, in collaboration with Factory Obscura, debuted a one of a kind performance experience entitled REWIND in June of 2021.  REWIND, was the first fully immersive dance event in Oklahoma letting the audience choose their own journey and encounter dancers sharing meaningful stories inspired by sounds of their youth. Overall, the collaboration took on the influential energy of the 80’s and 90’s MTV videos ranging from playful and sexy to dark and mysterious. 

This November, Factory Obscura will host the Perpetual Motion Dance annual fundraiser featuring roller skating divas, aerial dancers, and a grande finale you’ll never forget!

November 20th. 2021 at 8:00 p.m. at Factory Obscura on 25 NW 9th Street in Oklahoma City.

Perpetual Motion Dance, Oklahoma City’s only modern and aerial dance company, employs home grown professional dance artists who diligently work through the process of experimentation and rehearsal to create original works that draw the audience into new states of awareness. These concerts, funded in part by a matching grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council, and additionally by donors and ticket sales, tour the state to bring this unique art form to a variety of settings including college, rural and urban audiences. Additional support provided by The Kirkpatrick Family Fund and Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. 

REWIND, performed at Factory Obscura’s MIXTAPE, features choreography created by artistic director Michelle Moeller and company members Emily Dawson, Kayla Jenkins, Alana Murray, Amy Nevius and Caitlin Robinson. Hair and makeup design is created by Shear Balance Salon. Additional collaborators from the artistic staff of Factory Obscura created music, box and ramp artwork, marketing materials including photos and a promotional video to support the project.
